Molly Keane is a 19 year old professional photographer living in Dublin. She began taking photographs when she was 13. She specialises in Portrait, Conceptual, Fashion and Live performance photography and also has a keen interest in reportage and street photography.
In October of 2016, she was chosen as 1 of 12 photographers from all across Europe, both amateurs and professionals, to compete in the prestigious photography competition Sky Arts Master of Photography Season 2. The winning prize was €150,000. Out of the 8 tasks that the photographers were asked to shoot, Molly made it to task 5, putting her in the top 7 photographers in Europe that applied and participated.
Since Master of Photography, Molly has worked on the official photographers team for Electric Picnic music festival covering acts such as The XX, Birdy, Vince Staples, Interpol, Car Seat Headrest and Pond. She represented Master of Photography at the Edinburgh TV Festival in August. She has been invited to several camera clubs and colleges as a guest speaker to talk about her work. She has photographed and directed fashion shoots for Irish clothing brands and for features in various magazines and publications, she has attended the Amsterdam UNSEEN Photo Festival with two fellow Master of Photography contestants. She has also worked on Other Voices Music Festival, began to work with carious agencies/publications such as This Greedy Pig, RINGERS, and Golden Plec. Her work has been featured in The Irish Times and The Irish Independent. She has also photographed World Champion Female Boxer Katie Taylor for an upcoming film set for release in May 2018.
Her plans for 2018 are to continue her commercial workflow with the agencies she works with, shoot loads more gigs, and put her focus into fashion/conceptual photography.
